Dodgers Hanley Ramirez Back In Lineup For Game 6 of NLCS

ST. LOUIS (AP/KTTV) - Hanley Ramirez will bat 4th and play shortstop, dodgers just announced.

Ramirez was originally not in the Los Angeles Dodgers starting lineup for Game 6 of the NL championship series, hindered by a rib injury sustained when he was hit by a pitch in the series opener. However, just before the start of the game, the team management made the change.

Manager Don Mattingly had been optimistic a day earlier that Ramirez would be ready. Nick Punto was down to bat eighth and play shortstop for the Dodgers just before the change was made.

Jon Jay, slumping at the field and at the plate, was not in the St. Louis Cardinals' batting order Friday night. St. Louis leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.

Shane Robinson got his first start of the postseason in place of Jay, batting seventh and playing center field.
