Stolen vehicle suspect arrested in Pinal County

A suspect wanted in connection to at least two stole vehicles was arrested with two magazines full of bullets in his pocket and over 600 rounds of ammunition in his home.

Pinal County Sheriff's deputies say Zeppelin Anderson has been wanted for at least two stolen vehicles since Oct. 15.

Detectives went to his home on Oct. 16 looking for him and heard a loud noise coming from a shed in the backyard.

Anderson allegedly tried to sneak out of the shed and walk away, but was caught by detectives.

At first, deputies say Anderson lied about who he was, but he was recognized and taken into custody.

Detectives found two fully loaded 45 caliber magazines in his pants pocket.

Anderson allegedly admitted he is a "prohibited possessor" and isn't allowed to own a firearm.

According to detectives, Anderson told them he borrowed a gun from a friends to go shooting, gave the gun back, but forgot about the magazines of bullets in his pockets.

He also admitted to the alleged vehicle thefts.

Detectives got a search warrant and found 627 live ammunition rounds inside his home.

Anderson was booked into the Pinal County Jail for misconduct involving a weapon, theft of means of transportation and possession of stolen property.
