A representative for the Queen of England will visit a valley high school to give its musicians a high honor.

The Deputy Lieutenant of London, Roger Bramble, will visit Desert Mountain High School to tell the band they're invited to London's New Year's Day Parade in 2015.

The tradition will celebrate its 29th year.

Desert Mountain's band has appeared in the spectacular in the past. The wind ensemble is also invited to appear in concert performances.

More than 100,000 performers will join together in the streets on London to perform for an audience of about 500,000, in addition to tens of millions global TV viewers.

The 2.2 mile parade route winds through iconic buildings, streets and squares.

Bramble, whose titles also include Lord Mayor of London, will be accompanied by Executive Director of the parade Bob Bone and parade executive Jonathan Whaley.

While in London, the students spend a week participating in educational and cultural programs and activities.
