An amazing scene at a Vatican event this past weekend; it involved Pope Francis and a young visitor.
Catholics from all over the world gathered in Saint Peter's Square to celebrate The Year of Faith. However, one little boy wanted to be closer to the Holy Father.
Video shows him walking up to the Pope, who's on stage greeting guests. The little boy looks at the Pope curiously; he then kisses the pope's medal.
Pope Francis is intrigued, giving the little boy a little rub on the head and a pat on the cheek.
Vatican officials try to move the boy, but the little guy wasn't ready to leave.
He tries to get in-between The Pope and a man he was greeting. Video shows the boy holding the arms of the man and The Pope.
And when that didn't work, the youngster goes to work, escorting a young girl to greet the holy father, acting like an ambassador.
Eventually, he got Pope Francis to give him a hug.
You may be wondering why the little boy was able to get so close to Pope Francis. Well, he was part of a group of children invited to sit on the pope's platform during the celebration.
