CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man already in jail has been charged with the murder of a South Side woman more than two years ago.

Dwayne Timberlake, 22, was charged with first-degree murder late Tuesday after he allegedly shot and killed 24-year-old Princess Cole Streeter near the intersection of East 75th Street and South Exchange Avenue in the early hours of Feb. 5, 2011, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Streeter, of the 3700 block of South Wabash Avenue, was pronounced dead a few hours later at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to the medical examiner's office.

Since Oct. 17, Timberlake has been held at Cook County Jail on an aggravated vehicular hijacking charge for which his bond was set at $325,000, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office. He is due to appear in bond court Wednesday.
