GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WJBK) -

His name is Scipio.  He is 55-years old.  In a video allegedly taken by a Grosse Pointe Park Police officer, he is ordered to sing and dance.

The web site Motor City Muckraker reports that the video was distributed by the officer to co-workers, family and friends.

Scipio tells Fox 2's Alexis Wiley that he doesn't remember the date it was recorded. He says he lives in a Detroit boarding house and wanders into Grosse Pointe Park collecting cans.  he says he has frequent run-ins with police.

Scipio also says he didn't realize officers were making fun of him. He says, "They made me look like a fool, humiliated me."

Minister Malik Shabazz and a group of activists converged to the Grosse Pointe Park police department Wednesday.  They met with Police Chief David Hiller and the city's attorney. Shabazz is demanding the officers behind the videos be fired, but he's agreed to give the chief time to investigate.

There are some in Grosse Pointe Park who say the whole thing is being blown out of proportion. Play the video to hear one resident's opinion on the matter.

An internal investigation is underway at the Grosse Pointe Police department.  At the conclusion of the department's self-investigation, Michigan State Police may initiate their own investigation into the matter.

Fox 2 News will continue to follow and update this developing story.
