Bus service continues for Hudson Line commuters

NEW YORK (AP) - Metro-North Railroad will continue to provide bus service between Yonkers and the New York City Subway terminal at 242nd Street as repair work continues at the site of the Hudson Line derailment.

Limited Hudson Line train service on Tuesday will operate between Poughkeepsie and Yonkers stations and connect with shuttle bus service to Van Cortlandt Park-242 Street for No. 1 subway service into Manhattan.

For northbound service between Riverdale and Poughkeepsie stations, customers should take the S Shuttle from Grand Central to Times Square for No. 1 Subway Service to Van Cortlandt Park -242nd Street. Bus service will be provided to Yonkers Station and connect with limited train service to Poughkeepsie

Four people were killed and scores were injured in the Sunday morning accident.

That's essentially unchanged from Quinnipiac's poll in May.

    Hundreds of workers who will lose their jobs at three Atlantic City casinos scheduled to close in the next few weeks are looking for some divine intervention. Employees of Revel, the Showboat and Trump Plaza will hold a rally Wednesday night followed by a prayer service at a nearby church. Showboat and Revel are due to close over Labor Day weekend, with Trump Plaza shutting down on Sept. 16.
