Lanes reopen after accident on westbound I-40 near Ariz.-NM line

Posted: Updated:

CHAMBERS, Ariz. (AP) - Both lanes on westbound Interstate 40 have reopened about 30 miles west of the Arizona-New Mexico line after a truck accident Friday morning.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says both lanes of I-40 westbound have reopened.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says nobody was injured when a tractor-trailer rig tipped over, blocking the roadway at Chambers and I-40's junction, near milepost U.S. 191.

ADOT says I-40 in that area is icy but it's not immediately known whether those conditions caused the accident.
