PSCO: Suspect stabs 2, kicks out window of patrol car

GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. -

A suspect kicked out a window in a police car's while in custody for stabbing two people on Saturday.

Pima County sheriff's office says 42-year-old Gregory Gutierrez knocked on the door of a home in the 17000 block of South Country Club Road.

A 13-year-old boy reportedly recognized Gutierrez and let him in.

Once inside, Gutierrez allegedly stabbed the boy in the neck and stabbed his 72-year-old father in the face and torso.

Deputies say Gutierrez fled in a red pickup truck.

The boy was taken to a hospital and released.

The father was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and is still in serious condition.

Deputies on patrol saw the suspect's vehicle, but before they could make a traffic stop, they say Gutierrez rammed the back of their patrol vehicle twice with his truck.

There was a short pursuit before Gutierrez allegedly crashed into another vehicle and then hit the deputy's vehicle a third time.

Gutierrez was taken into custody.

Deputies say he kicked out a window in the back of a patrol car and had to be further restrained.

Gutierrez was booked into the Pima County Jail and charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a peace officer and dui.
