Hero Gainesville officers take part in special 'Shop with a Cop'

GAINESVILLE, Ga. -

A 7-year-old boy who was rescued from a fire by two police officers last month joined them in Gainesville on Wednesday to do some Christmas shopping.

Jeremiah Williams, who has cerebral palsy, was among 25 children given the chance to pick out toys and clothes at a Walmart during the "Shop with a Cop" event.

The shopping was made possible through more than $4,000 in donations from local businesses.

This is the 11th year the Gainesville Police Department has hosted "Shop with a Cop."
