Cardinals fever: Tickets become a hot commodity

Posted: Updated:

The valley is still buzzing after the Arizona Cardinals pulled off a big win Sunday in Seattle and tickets to next weekend's game against the San Francisco 49ers have become a hot commodity.

"Arizona shocked the world -- are you kidding me?" said Robert Ponce.

Now you might be shocked at what that did to Cardinals ticket prices for this Sunday's game pitting the Cards against the Niners.  Ticket prices shot up 22 to 25 percent according to ticket broker Ponce of Game Day Tickets.

"If you want something good, lower level, between the 40s and 50s, you are looking at $400 to $500 a ticket right now and that will be climbing," he said.

What is the cheapest ticket you can get for the big game?

Section 404, row 23 -- the last row of University of Phoenix Stadium.  Here's the ticket -- don't let the $25 excite you -- it's eight times that now -- $200.

"This year, with the playoff implications, it changes everything.  This is basically a playoff game and it's priced as such," said Ponce.

Game Day Tickets owner Nina Rogerson says the "nose bleed" seats are underrated.

"It's where it gets rowdy, it's where there's the most passion and excitement," she said.
