Protein shake, blueberry protein muffins recipes

Ethan Banning with Triple Threat Performance gives two recipes to eat and drink before and during a marathon to have your best race.

 


 

Protein Shake:
A scoop of your favorite flavoring (orange, strawberry, banana, etc)
1 cup of almond milk (use water for less calories)
1 scoop of protein powder
-- Combine & shake

Blueberry Protein Muffins:
Yields: 24-30 muffins

•    Pre Heat the oven to 400 degrees
•    Get muffin pans ready either by greasing or using paper muffin liners
•    Make sure all ingredients are room temperature

Ingredients:
8 oz of cream cheese
1/2 heeping teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2.5 scoops of vanilla protein powder
2 1/2 TBSP of Baking Powder
2 tsp of Baking Soda
4 eggs
1 cup of almond flour
2 TBSP of coconut oil or butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 cups of frozen or fresh blueberries

•    Mix cream cheese and cinnamon in a small bowl
•    Blend cream, oil and eggs (add eggs one at a time to make sure for thorough mixing)
•    Add protein powder & almond flour to cream, oil & egg mixture – Blend
•    Add in cream cheese mixture & blueberries
•    Place batter about 2/3 full in greased or lined muffin tins
•    Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes when the test muffin comes out clean
