Chicago History Museum wins as wedding venue

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Wedding website The Knot has named the Lincoln Park neighborhood's Chicago History Museum to its "Best of Weddings 2014" list for Chicago-area couples.

The museum, at 1601 N. Clark St., was reviewed and scored by 10 clients. The web publication has honored the museum as a top wedding venue for four straight years, the museum said in a release.

Indoor weddings take place in the museum's Georgian-style "Chicago Room," with stained glass designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Outdoor events are held in the Uihlein Plaza, which looks out over the Gold Coast.

The popular wedding planning website also inducted the venue into its "Hall of Fame," which includes only one percent of wedding businesses listed on the site.
