(WJBK) -

Prosecutors have charged Detroit Firefighter Terrill Hardaway with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Tony Jackson in 2012.

Prosecutors say Hardaway went to the bar where Jackson worked as a disc jockey on January 20, pulled a gun and tried to shoot him. That gun was confiscated and turned over to police.  Then, Hardaway returned the night of January 29.

Prosecutors say the two men got into a verbal and physical altercation that was interrupted by security, and the two men were taken outside. Once outside, Hardaway is believed to have continued to be the aggressor when both men pulled out guns and fired. Hardaway was shot once in the shoulder and Jackson was shot multiple times.

Hardaway's bond was initially set at $500,000 but a judge reduced that this afternoon to $150,000. He is due back in court Feb. 25.
