NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - It was a rough go for NJ Transit train riders on Wednesday after service on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line was suspended twice.

Ice on the overhead wires lead to the temporary suspensions.

Service was fully restored with residual delays at about 11 a.m.  Some morning passengers had to endure nearly four hour commutes to New York City because of the issues.

Earlier, Amtrak workers fixed low voltage problems between Philadelphia and New York that forced NJ Transit to suspend service for about 90 minutes.

Service was restored by 5:30 a.m.

NJ Transit was operating on an enhanced storm schedule with cross-honoring of bus and rail tickets because of the weather.

Officials also advised passengers to be careful because train platforms are slippery.

Buses were also running late because of the weather.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.

For kids trying to be fashionable -- and parents looking to keep it affordable -- there's the Ocean County Hunger Relief Warehouse in Toms River, New Jersey. It's basically a huge thrift shop.
