Sheriff's deputies arrested three people after finding two frozen alligators, an illegal fish and hundreds of grams of methamphetamine inside a Lake Wales home.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says they found numerous methamphetamine smoking devices and bags of the drug within the reach of twin 10-month-old babies.

Shane William Park, 29, and Cortney Loraine Williams, 24, each face a variety of charges, including two counts of killing or possessing an alligator, two counts of negligent child abuse, and armed trafficking in methamphetamine, according to an arrest report.

A third man, Joshua Lee Mellon, was at the house with the couple Tuesday when deputies executed a search warrant, according to the report. He was arrested on possession charges, the Sheriff's Office said.

Two alligators were in the freezer. Williams told deputies she was planning to stuff the gators.

Deputies also found a living black bass, which was under size by state standards.

The Department of Children and Families took custody of the twins. Their parents and the other man were taken to jail.

"I don't know what to think," said Douglas Farquhar, who lives in the neighborhood of where the bust took place.

"I had no idea they had alligators. To be totally honest, if they did, I would have probably helped them eat them," Farquhar told FOX 13.

Williams said she got the gators from a relative and planned to stuff them. On Thursday, Mellon had bonded out of jail. Williams and Park were still behind bars.

Information from the Associated Press was used in this report.
