Phoenix Police are searching for three men who they say shot a 16 year-old boy who was walking in a Maryvale neighborhood Saturday.

The victim remains in critical condition at a valley hospital. He was going to see his friend George Sanchez when he was shot.

George Sanchez lives near where his 16 year-old friend was shot in the side of his body. The victim was walking near 55th Avenue & Campbell Saturday evening when he appeared at Sanchez's door step. "He was knocking on my door and he said 'I got shot' and 'call 911' so we called 911," said Sanchez.

Sanchez said that the 16 year-old victim was walking with a friend around 8:30 p.m. when the shooting happened.  "He was just across the street and somebody rolled up and they shot him," said Sanchez.

Sanchez said that he didn't hear any gunshots, Phoenix Police say the suspects were driving East on Campbell when they stopped and called the victim over to their car. A witness said the suspects, who may have been in a Kia shot the victim and continued East.

Police have not said whether the victims or the suspects knew each other.
