Firefighters face heavy smoke in Tucson strip club

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A fire damaged a Tucson strip club, with firefighters facing new-zero visibility due to heavy smoke as they went inside the business early Wednesday morning.

Fire Capt. Barrett Baker says the business on East Speedway Boulevard was closed at the time of the fire. Multiple passers-by called 911 when they saw heavy black smoke coming from the building.

Baker says firefighters cut a hole in the roof to allow smoke to escape so firefighters could see inside the building.

They then put out the fire. Its cause is undetermined and so far there's no estimate on the cost of the damage.
