CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A former west suburban man who has served time in prison on burglary, narcotics and drunken-driving charges is back behind bars, charged with the sexual assault of a maid in a Chicago hotel room.

Dennis L. Sluski Jr., formerly of Naperville and most recently of St. Charles, was arrested by Chicago police Saturday and charged with criminal sexual assault, following the alleged attack, the Naperville Sun is reporting.

Sluski, 46, "was identified by a female victim as the subject who sexually assaulted her on the 600 block of West Diversey Parkway," police New Affairs Lt. Steven Sesso said.

Published reports indicated Sluski was a guest in the unidentified hotel when he assaulted a 43-year-old member of its housekeeping staff.

Sluski reportedly changed rooms, and while the maid was cleaning his first room, she found some of his belongings and brought them to his new room.

The woman knocked on Sluski's door, and he allegedly responded by throwing her onto his bed and assaulting her. She was treated at a nearby hospital, and subsequently identified Sluski as her attacker.

Court records show Sluski's driver's license had been suspended in 1995, following a drunken-driving conviction in Will County. He also was convicted of drunken driving in February 1999 in Shorewood and in June 1999 in Willowbrook.

A DuPage County Circuit Court judge in April 2004 sentenced Sluski to eight years in prison for a Naperville DUI conviction, and he also served prison time for a 1996 burglary spree in the Joliet area, and for possession of a controlled substance in 1999 in DuPage County.

Court records indicated Sluski currently faces trial in DuPage County on two felony counts of aggravated DUI, stemming from a November 2012 arrest in Westmont. A warrant for his arrest in that case was issued last month after he allegedly failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing.

Sluski remains in the Cook County Jail on a $750,000 bond, with a preliminary hearoing set for March 14.
