Amber Alert Canceled - Boy Found Safe

That woman suspected of abducting a 12-year-old boy in Long Beach has been taken into custody in Oceanside. Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department says Sri Johnston was found at 2:40 p.m. by the U.S. Marshal's fugitive task force. The boy is safe and will be reunited with his father.

An Amber Alert has been issued in response to the apparent abduction of a 12-year-old boy in Long Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol. The missing boy is Nicholas Johnston, who is described as white, 4 feet 8 inches tall, 80 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. The suspect has been identified by the CHP as Sri Johnston, 49, who is 5-foot-1, 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be driving a tan, four-door Saturn with California plate 4AUU679.
