CHERRY HILL, N.J. -

A trip to the mall turned violent when a fight over a parking spot ended with a woman in the hospital.

It was a vicious attack that left 42-year old Tonya Knight-Joseph of northeast Philadelphia with a severed index finger.

FOX 29's Jennifer Joyce caught up with her Monday as she was leaving Cooper University Hospital in a full hand bandage.

"At first I couldn't believe she was biting me but once she let go and I saw the skin I was like mortified," Tonya said.

Cherry Hill Township Police have released surveillance photos of the incident. The attack happened outside of the Cherry Hill Mall and was fueled by an argument over a parking space around 4:45 Saturday afternoon near aisle 18 at Nordstrom.

"They came over cursing, yelling; screaming got in my face and hit me," Tonya said.

The suspects apparently wanted the victim's spot but the woman claims she had no idea there was a problem until the two women parked their car and then came storming towards her. The two women bit the woman while the other woman scratched her face.

Tonya says the suspects ran Into Nordstrom despite her bloodied and dangling finger she ran after them, but had no luck hunting them down.

"I want the situation resolved. I want her caught and prosecuted," Tonya said.

If you recognize this woman, you are asked to call the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit at (856) 488-7833. The victim is hoping an arrest will come soon.
