Woman sought in thefts at Saguaro National Park

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a woman who they believe may have information about a series of car thefts at Saguaro National Park on Tucson's west side.

National Park Service officials released photos Wednesday of the woman they are calling a person of interest in several break-ins and thefts from unattended vehicles.

According to the National Park Service, the thefts all occurred in late February and early March.

Chief Ranger Paul Austin says visitors should make sure their vehicles are locked and no valuables are left inside.

Austin says people are encouraged to use the same precautions as they would any place else in the city.

Anyone with information about the break-ins or other illegal activity in Saguaro National Park is asked to contact a tip line at 520-733-8600.
