PEORIA, Ariz. -

Deputies arrested a suspect wanted from a weekend hit and run accident.

Authorities say the suspect crashed into a family who was walking with their bikes sending three to the hospital.

One of the victims remains hospitalized from the crash.

MCSO investigators say the crash happened on Saturday night after 10 p.m.; a truck was traveling down 115th Avenue when it crashed into the three cyclists.

32 year-old Eric Nunez was arrested Friday for allegedly driving his truck into three people.

Cam Nelson, Cam's six year-old son, and Cam's boyfriend Lance Taylor were walking their bicycles on the shoulder of 115th Avenue when a black Chevrolet pickup truck came plowing into them.

Cam Nelson, the most seriously injured, is still in the hospital and faces several surgeries.

Investigators say the driver never stopped at the scene.

"I just can't imagine someone saying I didn't know I hit somebody or something, when you do that, and you are in a clear state of mind, you usually pull over to check your car at the very least," said a friend.

Friends of the victim rallied by her side and are hoping she pulled through.

"Cam is a vibrant soul, always there for her soul, always there for her friends, a really good person," said her friend.

Nunez faces five felony charges including fleeing the scene of the accident.
