2 boys cleared to return to Griffith school after 'kill list'

GRIFFITH, Ind. (FOX 32 News) -

Two boys have been cleared to return to a northwest Indiana school after officials found out about a "kill list" they allegedly made earlier this month.

The list targeted the 4th or 5th grade boys' elementary classmates. Wadsworth Elementary officials conducted an investigation while the boys were suspended for a week.

The boys reportedly underwent a psychiatric evaluation and met with a counselor, but both were cleared to come back to the Griffith, Ind. school.

Some parents are not exactly pleased with the decision to let the boys come back to class with the same students they allegedly wanted dead. These parents are angry, and believe the school should have carried out more serious measures.

The parents of the boys who created the alleged kill list apparently want to have a meeting with the school to talk to officials. They think the whole situation has been blown out of proportion. They say kids will be kids.

One parent explained FOX 32 News Wednesday morning that they now have a tough decision to make. Do they address the incident with their children and discuss, or pretend nothing happened and let things return to normal?

That mother said it's a limited discussion in her household. She believes Wadsworth officials handled the situation the best they could.
