McDonald's Gospelfest: Dorinda Clark Cole

Posted: Updated:
NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Dorinda Clark Cole is known as "The Rose of Gospel." The three-time Grammy winner joins many other gospel greats on stage at this year's McDonald's Gospelfest at Prudential Center in Newark. And she's more excited than ever for this year's performance.

"McDonald's Gospelfest is a festival that everybody loves to be a part of," she says. "Let me tell you -- gospel artists are actually raving to be on McDonald's Gospelfest.

Dorinda's passion for gospel music runs throughout her family. As the daughter of a reverend and a gospel director, she was singing and preaching since she was a little girl.

Dorinda and her three sisters -- Karen Clark-Sheard, Twinkie Clark, and Jacqueline Cullum -- make up The Clark Sisters." They've been performing together since 1996 and will reunite on stage just in time for this year's theme, "women who worship."

Dorinda is a survivor and it shows through her music. She faced a difficult personal struggle but her faith helped her overcome it.

Now, she shares her story to inspire her fans. And will continue to do so this year on the McDonald's Gospelfest stage.
