NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Former city councilman Ras Baraka has declared victory in the race to succeed Sen. Cory Booker as mayor of Newark, New Jersey's largest city.

Baraka, a former city councilman, declared victory Tuesday with about 92 percent of districts counted. He was holding a 54 percent to 46 percent lead over former state assistant attorney general Shavar Jeffries.

In Trenton, former city official Eric Jackson had about 30 percent of the vote with slightly more than half of precincts reporting. If none of the six candidates secured at least 50 percent of the vote, a runoff will be held June 10 between the top two.

In Ocean City, incumbent Jay Gillian won a second term as mayor, beating Ed Price by nearly 700 votes.

And Long Branch Mayor Adam Schneider won an unprecedented seventh term in that Jersey Shore community.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.

Like most soon-to-be third graders, Sonja knows what she's looking for when it comes to back-to-school shopping. For kids trying to be fashionable -- and parents looking to keep it affordable -- there's the Ocean County Hunger Relief Warehouse in Toms River, New Jersey. It's basically a huge thrift shop.
