Mesa kicks off 8th annual Hydration Donation campaign
With an excessive heat warning in place, it's important that people stay hydrated. One valley city is taking action so it can help those in need during hot days.
That's why Mesa is kicking off the 8th annual Mesa Hydration donation campaign.
The city is teaming up with the United Food Bank to collect as many bottles of water for the homeless and unsheltered during the extreme summer heat.
The hydration stations, which are set up around the valley and staffed by volunteers on the hottest days of the year, are typically set up with plenty of shade and water, so that anyone can get some rest and get out of the sun -- for at least a few minutes.
