TEMPE, Ariz. - Authorities say a woman's body was found in a backyard swimming pool near Sesame Street and Kenwood Lane.

At 2 p.m. Tuesday, a neighbor called 911 after being notified the victim was floating in the swimming pool.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they pulled the victim out of the pool where she was pronounced dead.

According to Tempe Police Lt. Mike Pooley, the call came in as a suicide, but they are investigating other possibilities.  He adds the 40-year-old female lived with a boyfriend and they had domestic violence calls in the past.

The boyfriend has not been arrested.

Pooley says the woman has a 13-year-old daughter.

No names have been released and detectives continue to investigate this case.

This is a developing story.  Stay with FOX 10 News for updates.
