Near Sarasota, Fla.-A man hitched a ride on the back of whale shark in Florida earlier this month.
The video posted by James Bostwick shows him on the fins of a roughly 30-foot-whale shark.
In the video, Bostwick even turns and gives his friends a thumbs up.
Bostwick, who is a charter captain, says it was the first time he ever saw a whale shark.
While the ride may not have been illegal, wildlife experts caution not to touch whale sharks or swim too closely to them.
Whale sharks are plankton eaters, and are not a threat to humans, but they are a protected species.
