A surprise Saturday morning raid at Detroit's Martin Luther King apartment complex on Chene and E. Lafayette yielded guns, drugs and three arrests. Police say more raids are coming, possibly even this weekend.

It was a rude awakening for crooks at the apartment complex. Around 9:30am officers seized marijuana, cocaine and narcotic paraphernalia, along with guns including a semi-automatic handgun hidden in a baby's bassinet. Two women and a man were also arrested. Police say the complex has been raided several times before and tips from the public helped lead to the raid.

"People are tired of crime. They do not want drug sales in their area," said one officer on the scene. "Wherever there's mischief, we're coming back."

"If you play, we're playing harder," added Deputy Chief Renee Hall. "And you will be caught."
