Target Field was full of star power on Sunday night as celebrities faced off for some softball with a pitching matchup Twins fans are sure to remember -- Jack Morris and John Smoltz, who faced off in 1991.

It was an incredible Game 7 that pitted Smoltz and Morris against one another in the World Series -- one few fans are likely to have forgotten.

"I'll never forget that game," Smoltz said."Greatest game ever played, World Series Game 7. Jack and I talked about it. Somehow, the outcome says the same. Not sure why, but a memorable game."

The baseball diamond was sparkling with a star-studded lineup on Sunday, including some of Minnesota's greatest athletes and a certain "Desperate Housewives" heart throb who played hurt.

"I went to the cage, tried to get ready -- totally don't know what I did to my left side," James Denton explained.

FAMILIAR FACES

Even Maya Moore, who played at Target Center with the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon, was seen at first base on Sunday night. Meanwhile, former Minnesota Twins slugger Jim Thome was keeping his eyes on the right field porch. Wild left winger Zach Parise and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson also drew loud cheers from the crowd, and aptly, Peterson said when he's on the field, those competitive juices flow no matter what game he's playing.
