PHOENIX (AP) - More thunderstorms were in Arizona Tuesday as the Phoenix area cleans up from the second damaging monsoon storm in as many days.

A monsoon storm late Monday knocked down numerous trees in east Phoenix, leaving many fallen tree trunks and limbs in yards and on local streets. High wind also knocked down a traffic light pole at 48th Street and Indian School Road.

Two drivers got stuck in a wash in the Sunnyslope area near 12th Street and Hatcher. One of them got out without problems and another needed to be saved by Phoenix Fire Department crews.

Power was knocked out in several neighborhoods, affecting thousands of customers.

The National Weather Service says what's called a wet microburst may have hit the area.

The service forecasts heavy rain and potential for flooding in parts of Arizona Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop in the central and eastern mountains and then move toward the lower deserts.

A storm late Sunday caused similar damage in Phoenix-area suburbs.

Across Arizona the storm caused other damage. Kingman residents reported some street flooding, and an F-16 at Davis Monthan Air Force Based was flipped over by monsoon winds.
