CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - Police arrested a suspect wanted for allegedly critically stabbing a man on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a stabbing call at a Casa Grande apartment about 9:30 a.m.

They found 24-year-old Adam Craig Lewis inside the residence with what appeared to be numerous stab wounds.

Lewis was transported by ambulance to a Casa Grande hospital and then flown to a Phoenix-area hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

Police say they interviewed witnesses and began searching for 21-year-old Angel Luz as a suspect in the stabbing.

Around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting at a Kmart off Florence Boulevard and Avenue A.

The shoplifting suspect was identified as Luz and he was taken into custody.
