Cordarrelle Patterson makes Vikings fans do tricks for tickets

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

With just a few days to go before the Minnesota Vikings hit the road to Mankato for training camp, single-game tickets go on sale Tuesday and fans will get a chance to watch a game at TCF Bank Stadium while the new Vikings stadium construction is underway.



There will be temporary seating added at the stadium for upcoming Vikings games -- as it stands, the Bank seats about 50,805 while the Metrodome seated about 64,121.

Tricks for tix

Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson gave away free tickets in Minneapolis, but he did require fans to perform tricks and answer trivia questions to get them, including but not limited to:

- Cartwheels
- Spelling his name correctly
- Citing his alma mater
- Making two guys race down the street

Tuesday morning, Vikings safety Harrison Smith surprised the kids at Luxton Park with free tickets - one told Fox 9's Dawn Mitchell it was the best day of his life.




Vikings tickets starting at $24

The Vikings ticket office opened at 9 a.m. At the lowest as of Tuesday afternoon, Ticketmaster is selling tickets to the first preseason game against the Oakland Raiders for $24.61, fees included, $150.05 at the highest. Currently, full season tickets range from $600 in the upper level corner to $1,390 for sideline seats.

FOX 26 in Houston confirmed Peterson was booked into the Montgomery County jail between 1:06 a.m. and 1:35 a.m. Saturday. He posted bond and went to the airport, returning to Minnesota early Saturday morning.
