PHOENIX (KSAZ) - John Abraham had a big year last year with the Arizona Cardinals. He was a big reason the team's defense was so tough. But he hasn't been at training camp so far, and it looks like we know why.

According to police reports obtained by TMZ Sports, officers spotted Arizona Cardinals linebacker John Abraham's car in the middle of the road, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with the player behind the wheel and asleep.

When they woke him up, he told officers he had been at a nearby strip club and had two drinks.

He failed sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DUI. So far the cardinals have basically had this to say about the situation. "No comment."

But teammate Patrick Peterson says he is hoping Abraham gets back soon. "He made a mistake, and he's still our brother, we have to love on him, we have to care for him, and hopefully he won't make this mistake again. To put this light on the Arizona Cardinals's football team.

Abraham got a DUI about a decade ago when he was playing for the New York Jets. There's no word on whether or not he will face any sort of suspension when he returns to the team.
