PHOENIX (KSAZ) - It's been more than a month since a valley couple was found murdered inside their North Phoenix home.

Police have released two sketches that they hope will solve this murder mystery.

The killers are on the loose but detectives hope the sketches will bring William and Barbara Singer's killers to justice.

They were found murdered inside their own home on July 2nd.

A neighbor told police that two men were pretending to be cable guys, knocking on doors in the area in the days leading up to the murders. Now police want to find those men.

"I'm nervous about it, we're more cautious than we ever have been, we just hope they get caught," said a neighbor.

A couple lived next door to William and Barbara Singer for the past 35 years. They say the fact that the murders are still unsolved has left this quiet, close-knit neighborhood under a cloud of anxiety.

"Definitely not like it used to be, very disappointed, scary," said another neighbor.

Police are hoping someone can identify two men they believed are connected to the Singers' violent deaths. They're not familiar faces on the street.

"Most neighbors I talked to haven't seen or heard anybody close to those pictures," said Gary Hargus.

According to police the two persons of interest were in the neighborhood before the murder knocking on doors. They say they were employees of a local cable company and needed to go into his house to reset his cable box. One resident asked the employees for an ID card, and they couldn't provide any.

One of the men allegedly continued to insist on entering the home, but the resident refused. Around the same time frame an ATM camera captured the last photos of William and Barbara, each withdrawing money from their accounts at 10:30 at night on June 28th.

Police say it's unusual for them to be at the ATM that late at night. A few days later they were found inside their home in what police are calling a violent, brutal killing.

"We have three kids here, so it definitely makes it scary not knowing what happened...  with no solid evidence it's been weeks now and we haven't heard anything," said Hargus.
