A valley family is getting a bit of good news after so many hardships. FOX introduced you to the family on Sunday; a 6 month-old baby has a rare heart condition where he only has half a heart.

The family desperately needed help and our viewers came through in a big way.

Smiles for Caila Dugger are few and far between these days. Her 6 month-old baby boy, Ryder, has been in and out of the hospital for much of his young life with a rare heart condition.

"He's gone through three open heart surgeries, he's spent his whole life here, we've gone home a couple times but had to come right back," said Dugger.

To add to the unbearable hardships, the father of baby Ryder was recently killed in a car accident.

Dugger drives 84 miles round trip to see her baby in the hospital every day, her 13-year-old car is in bad shape.

"I have to put oil in the car every day and now the radiator is leaking, so I have to put radiator fluid in the car every day," she said.

The story garnered a lot of attention including the attention of Matt Widdows of HomeSmart in Phoenix.

"Caila and Jeanette's story caught all of our eyes last night with little Ryder, and what's going on with him. So what we wanted to do was help out," said Matt Widdows.

"I'd like to give you a check for $10,000 made out to Courtesy Chevrolet. Our friends over at Courtesy are going to get you hooked up with a brand new car," said Widdows.

"Thank you, we appreciate this so much, I've just been so worried about her on the road," said Dugger.

The family is overwhelmed by the generosity.

"It's hard, what to say to thank somebody from the bottom of your heart," said Jeanette.
