PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

They just got the water out of their garage and storm clouds are the last thing they want to see.

"I'm worried, it's scary... I don't want to be afraid for all of this, it's a lot of work," said Nancy Sides.

Nancy Sides's home near Dobbins and 19th Avenue nearly flooded last week. Her garage filled with ankle deep water.

Two days ago, another big storm came and flood water slowly started to creep back in.

"In Pennsylvania people talk about Phoenix, it's the land where it never rains, so they're just in shock when I'm sending pictures back there," she said.

So far Nanvy has $5,000 worth of damage to her home and she's not alone. The Humane Society in South Phoenix was also hit hard. Another storm could do some major damage.

"We're definitely on extreme standby right now, all of our teams are just preparing for the worst," said Bretta Nelson.

Two days ago an underground pipe burst flooding their main server room. They've had $25,000 in damage and staff are going over emergency evacuation plans just in case they flood again.

"Looking at the sky and just clenching, and hoping we don't get hit again," she said.
