Home, apartment consultants that do everything for you

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - When John and Kate Reilly moved to Manhattan, they faced an all too familiar issue.

"We only had a few days before starting our new jobs, we had no time to buy furniture, weren't sure how to decorate and desperately needed someone to help" John said.

Companies like Lumen Home Designs have been emerging as a prime example of a new and growing niche that's becoming increasingly popular.

"The company is a one stop shop for all your home furnishings needs. They were my personal shoppers, interior designers, furniture store and much more" John said. "The furniture is beautiful, the prices are competitive, the service is outstanding and interior design is complimentary."

Olga Amigud is the CEO of Lumen Home Designs.  She says it can take months to decorate an apartment in NYC, "but we make it simple by bringing the furniture store to our clients and finishing up in less then a week."

Their services are also ideal for individuals relocating to Manhattan from overseas and out-of-state.

"An apartment is rented in advance and by the time residents arrive to New York, they'll be ready to sleep in their new beds from the first night instead of staying in a hotel" Olga said.

"One of our representative will come to your apartment with catalogs, take all the measurements, help and advise on selecting all items you may need, such as furniture, electronics, accessories, tableware and bedding. Once everything is selected, we take care of all the arrangements with the building management regarding the delivery; deliver and assemble your items, hang the art work, make your bed and set the table."

Olga also mentioned that a designer is always present during the delivery process, helping the crew and making sure everything is in the right place. "After all items are assembled, the cleaning crew arrives . Once done, we leave a nice thank you gift and call our clients to come home and enjoy!"

Lumen Home Designs is essentially a furniture and interior design company, with prices that can fit any budget or aesthetic, so it's not surprising that they are in such high demand in the Big Apple these days.

“I came up with this idea when I moved and needed new furniture. I saw an opportunity and took it" Olga said. "We fill an important role in the market and we focus on providing exceptional customer service. We work closely and partner with real estate companies, major landlords and investment banks in the tri-state area. In addition to furniture sales, interior design services and model apartment set-up, we also offer staging and furniture rental."
