BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) -

Police arrested a driver and two other suspects who led a chase through 3 cities beginning in south Minneapolis and ending by the Minnesota River in Bloomington early Wednesday morning. VIEW PHOTOS

Officers tried to pull over a Suburban around midnight in south Minneapolis after learning it was allegedly stolen, but the driver took off toward Richfield. A short time later, the ATV trailer behind the vehicle fell off and crashed into a utility pole, starting a small fire that was quickly extinguished.

The driver continued along Nicollet Avenue and the pursuit ultimately ended in a river bluff neighborhood in Bloomington. The driver jumped into the back seat and police began searching for a suspect that they thought ran into the woods, realized there wasn't a fourth suspect, and arrested all 3 people in the SUV.

At the end of the chase, two police SUVs and a heavy wrecker had to pull the stolen vehicle out of the torn up woods of the homeowner's backyard. The chase also took out his $1,000, 50-foot batting cage.
