2. Authorities identify remains found by hikers 47 years ago near Arizona-Nevada border

A man who was found shot in the head in 1976 in a hiking area near Katherine's Landing, near the border of Nevada, has been identified. Authorities say they haven’t been able to locate any relatives of Luis Alonso Paredes, who may have been employed by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Navy in the San Francisco area about a decade before his death.
