Woman hospitalized after shielding kids from car in crosswalk: Police

PHOENIX - A woman was struck by a car in the crosswalk while trying to shield two children from being hit Wednesday in Phoenix.

It happened at 16th Street and Morten Avenue.

The woman was taken to the hospital, but it's going to be OK, according to the police department.

There's no information about the driver.
