Arizona man heads to Vermont bachelor party despite accidental invite

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Will Novak is headed out of Terminal 4 for what he expects will be a weekend to remember.

This after a week ago when Will was accidentally invited to a bachelor party in Vermont.

An email that was meant for Will Novak in Brooklyn, New York slipped into the wrong inbox, so instead of ignoring the Evite, Will decided to play along.

"Instead of just laughing it off, I wrote back, 'I know you think you're kidding, but we're not kidding. Get here. We'll all throw you 20 bucks. We'll help you out,'" he said. "So I looked at flights and I asked my wife and she's like, 'whatever, go for it! Get out of my hair!'"

To raise funds for the trip, Will made a GoFundMe page and in just two days, he raised over $3,500 -- more than what he needs to cover the cost for the entire trip.

"I'm going to take all the extra money and donate it to the bachelor, Angelo, and his fiance and they're expecting a baby, so this would be a good way to start off their new life," he said.

The best part isn't' the accidental invite itself, but that the groom still has no idea that Will is coming!

"When they responded, they deleted Angelo, the bachelor," Novak said. Angelo still doesn't know. Don't tell Angelo! They've kept Angelo under a rock somehow, it's amazing."

Despite the situation, he's sure they'll all have a great time!

"They were just really silly and over the top," Novak said. They seem like fun guys, like when I first got the email, I was like, 'is this a bunch of like 20-year-old frat boys?' But I realized they were a bunch of middle-30s, early-40s, dorky dads like me that just want to have one last hurrah."

Will arrives at the ski resort tonight and returns to the Valley with memories of a lifetime and a new group of friends on Sunday.
