Body found in Buckeye retention pond

BUCKEYE, Ariz. - The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found in a Buckeye retention pond Thursday.

Firefighters discovered the unknown man floating in the water near Bruner and Lower River roads. Deputies said he was "obviously deceased."

Investigators are working to figure out a cause. No other details were released.
