Police: Pedestrian killed in Phoenix crash

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Police officials say a man is dead, following an accident involving a pedestrian Friday afternoon.

According to Phoenix Police, officer responded to the 2400 block of E. Pueblo Avenue for a two-vehicle collision. Witnesses told officers that a car was making a turn on 24th Street when it hit a second car heading north of 24th Street. Both cars veered off road, and struck a man and woman on the sidewalk.

The man and woman, according to police, were taken to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. Impairment is not suspected at this time.
