Man hit, killed by multiple cars on I-10 in Avondale

A pedestrian is dead after being hit multiple times by cars early Friday morning along eastbound Interstate 10 near Avondale Boulevard.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He wasn't identified. It's unknown why the man was on the freeway.
