The romance between Clarence Purvis and Carolyn Todd began in 1948. Young and in love, the pair married a year later and have remained inseparable ever since.

According to WTOC, the pair spent most lunches at Smith's Restaurant in Reidsville, Georgia. A tradition Clarence has kept up - even in the wake of Carolyn's death in 2013.

While she can't physically join her partner, Clarence brings a framed photo of his dearly departed so she can join in spirit - sitting near him as she always has.

The 93-year-old proclaimed, "She was always with me when we were livin'. She's with me now."

Clarence has become somewhat of a celebrity in his hometown for his unparalleled devotion. Leaving many in the town wondering, "Would my partner do that for me?"

In addition to eating with his late-wife, he also pays his respects by visiting the cemetery four times a day.

"Ain't nobody loved one another more than me and my wife loved one another," Clarence told WTOC. "I wanted what she wanted and she wanted what I wanted."

Clarence's dedication to Carolyn proves true love really is eternal.
