Executive Assistant
FOX 10 / FOX 10 Xtra in Phoenix, Arizona has an opening for an exceptionally organized and customer-service oriented Executive Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, the Executive Assistant will provide daily executive and administrative support for the Regional SVP/General Manager as well as the Station’s leadership team.
A Snapshot of Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily office operations for the Station
- Provide daily support to the Regional SVP/General Manager
- Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, coordinate meetings, maintain calendars
- Assist with travel arrangements, expense reports, and timesheet administration for Regional SVP/General Manager
- Manage office supplies inventory and ordering
- Maintain FCC documents and data input
- Create and distribute op notes for live programming
- Manage bank deposits
- Handle vendor set up in our AP system, manage Purchase Order and Check Request systems.
- Assist Sales Managers, Insights Specialist and AEs with the creation of custom marketing materials
- Assemble lead lists and track lead generation effectiveness
- Work with Insights Specialist to assemble cold emails customized to the market
- Monitor category, market, and industry trends and competitor activity to identify emerging sponsorship opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality concerning all information that is acquired in the position
- Lift and carry materials up to 25 lbs. in weight on a regular basis.
- May be required to work varied hours, overtime, and/or weekends to complete tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Experience working in an administrative role in an office setting supporting management/executive staff. Experience in the broadcast/media industry a plus.
- Ability to plan and organize work, take initiative, and determine work priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high professionalism.
- Good judgment.
- Ability to multitask
- Proficiency in software applications (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word) and online communication tools.
- Able to organize and establish administrative procedures independently, draft correspondence and reports, and work under pressure
- Ability to handle confidential information and interact with high-level executives

Responsibilities
- Create compelling, UX-focused content related to news, events, and topics relevant to the non-tv audience, including text/image-based stories, photos/graphics, live streams, breaking news, and social media elements.
- Reach and engage users on FOX LOCAL, YouTube, IG, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms to build audience loyalty.
- Meet FOX 10 station needs through inter-departmental collaboration on digital, social media initiatives.
- Collaborate with the FOX TV Stations Group Content team to distribute high-interest stories to audiences in other markets.
- Monitor and act upon real-time analytics, Google Trends, and other trending topic tools.
- Uphold journalistic ethics and follow all group standards for quality and consistency.
- Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, or a related field with an emphasis on digital publishing.
- 2+ years of experience developing and publishing news content on digital and social platforms is preferred.
- A meticulous writer, editor, and storyteller who combines superior news judgment with a dedication to producing polished and error-free work.
- Thrive under daily deadline pressure in a demanding environment.
- Stellar communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Demonstrated expertise in social media strategy and execution.
- Must be proficient in video editing/publishing, live streaming technology, and digital analytics tools. A deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as the job requires.
