PHOENIX (FOX 10/AP) -- An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper has been arrested and is accused of threatening to kill a co-worker.
According to DPS, Edward Swan, who has been with the department for eight years, threatened to kill a coworker in the presence of his immediate supervisor during a meeting on July 26.
Swan, 48, was taken into custody by detectives on July 27 on suspicion of making verbal death threats. He was booked into Fourth Avenue Jail.
Maricopa County court documents show the threatened employee plans to seek prosecution. That employee's name hasn't been released.
Swan was later released on his own recognizance and faces an Aug. 15 arraignment hearing.
It was unclear Wednesday if Swan has a lawyer yet for his case.
