Hundreds line up for 'Pittie Palooza,' event offers cheap adoptions for pit bulls

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Roughly 30 pit bulls were up for adoption on Saturday for only $20 at Phoenix Metrocenter Mall.

At 5 a.m. in the morning, people started lining up at "Pittie Palooza" to either adopt a pit bull or get their own dog vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Fix Adopt Save put on the event to help the pit bulls get adopted who were either a stray or surrendered by an owner.

Pit bulls get a bad rep sometimes and many people see them as a dog breed that's probably not suitable for a family pet, however, this was not the case at Pittie Palooza.
